Described by the critics as a pianist capable of creating evocative atmospheres with an exceptional affinity for delicate sounds (Donald Rosenberg), Marco Vergini is an Italian pianist, winner of prestigious national and international competitions.
He began his musical studies at the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, making his debut at the age of twelve with Felix Mendelssohn’s Concerto in G minor. He was trained under the able guidance of Ettore Peretti and subsequently Giovanni Valentini. Graduated with honors and special mention, he continued his studies at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, where he had the chance to work alongside important musicians such as Alexander Lonquich, Louise Lortie, Michel Dalberto, Michel Béroff, Leslie Howard, Andrzej Jasinski, Alexis Weissenberg.

He has been awarded at the International Piano Competition “Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli” in Foligno, at the International Piano Competition “A. Scriabin” in Grosseto and at the XXVII edition of the prestigious “A. Casagrande” International Piano Competition in Terni.
During his career he performed in important theaters in italy and abroad, at the F. Liszt Academy in Budapest, Carnegie Hall in New York, Reinberger Chamber Hall in Cleveland, Le Reflet Théâtre de Vevey, Konzertsaale of the UDK in Berlin.
For the prestigious piano season of the “Roque d’Anthéron” in Lourmarin he participated in the execution of the complete Preludes and Fugues by D. Shostakovich, which was broadcast live over France Culture Radio. For the Sagra Malatestiana Festival in Rimini, he performed the Italian premiere of the complete Makrokosmos by George Crumb, and for Spinacorona Festival in Naples he participated at the complete Beethoven’s Symphonies transcribed by F. Liszt for piano solo and broadcast by National Cultural Channel Rai 5.
He collaborated with various orchestras directed by Michele Marvulli, Carlo Tenan, Massimo Quarta, Marco Zuccarini, Michele Mariotti, Luca Ferrara, Giovanni Di Stefano, Akira Yanagisawa.
Some of his performances have been broadcast by RAI International, Rai 5, Radio 3 RAI, WCLV Classic Radio Cleveland (Ohio), Radio France Culture.
He teaches piano at the Music Conservatory “F. Venezze” in Rovigo.
